Date: October 23, 2013 From: Roger Hirschland Board vice president Roger Hirschland reports that a relatively new and very inconvenient change in traffic regulations has occurred on K Street that could cost you a ticket. Police are now enforcing the "No Left Turn" and "No Turns" signs at 20th and K Streets. This is a major route for Lauren drivers. "Many drivers ignore the 'No Left Turn' and 'No Turns' signs, as well as the big white arrow that indicate 'straight-only' driving on K Street," Mr. Hirschland said, "Yesterday, I saw the first enforcement of those regulations, when a driver was pulled over and ticketed for waiting on K Street, then making the left turn." "It is also illegal," Mr. Hirschland added, "to drive another half a block and make a U turn into the service road on K Street." |
