Starting Monday, Winchester, Va., is in the pink. That's when the city located in the scenic Shenandoah Valley will kick off its 84th Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival, which runs through May 1. A variety of events throughout the week include a carnival, golf tournament, apple pie baking contest, luncheons and next Saturday's culminating grand feature parade. Celebrities set to be on hand include former NFL running back Barry Sanders, singer Crystal Gale, Olympic speedskater Bonnie Blair and actress Debbie Reynolds, who will be serving as the festival's grand marshal.
