***DDOT Traffic Advisory***
Street Closures for National Christmas Tree Ceremony, December 9
Washington, D.C.) Roadways near the White House will be
closed and parking restricted on Thursday, December 9 for the annual National
Christmas Tree Ceremony.
Beginning at approximately 4:30 pm and remaining until the
completion of the event, the following streets will be closed to vehicular
traffic:
..15th Street will be closed from Pennsylvania Ave/E Street NW
to Constitution Avenue, NW
..17th Street will be closed from New York Avenue NW to
Constitution Avenue NW
Parking will be restricted on the following streets from 6:00am
to 9:00pm:
.. 15th Street, from Pennsylvania Avenue to Constitution
Avenue, NW
.. 17th Street, from Pennsylvania Avenue to Constitution
Avenue, NW
Motorists are advised traffic will be delayed during these
times in this heavily traveled area downtown and to opt to use Metro rail,
