Summer has come and gone, and if that has you mourning the end of fair season, fear not. The Calvert County Fair will take place Sept. 29 through Oct. 3 in Barstow, Md. Expect such standards as carnival games, livestock shows and music. Admission is $5, free for children 11 and under. The fair is a little more than an hour from Washington.
