Spring is in the air and DC Guerrilla Poetry Insurgency
Open Mic Night is back at the fountain in Dupont Circle for a free eve of
poetry and drumming.
This Monday, April 13th from 7:00pm - 9:00pm GPI's lyrical ambushes will feature everything you remember -- live musical features, bangin poets, sidewalk chalk and cool folks to chat with. As with past outdoor open mics -- drummers are welcome to bring their drums and collaborate with poets! The feature this month is community hip-hop powerhouse Bomani "D-Mite" Armah. You can check him out on youtube here. More about GPI at: http://www.guerrillapoets.org/ In case of rain on on Monday call (800) 886-6157. Details of cancellation or movement will be available by 6:05pm (If moved, they'll indoors at Bossa in Adams Morgan, 2463 18th St, NW). |
