February 4 to March 1, Foundry Gallery at 1314 18th Street NW will be
holding a three-person art show entitled RESHUET (Joy): Paintings by
Doris Colbert Kennedy, Marina Reiter and Ron Riley. The paintings of
these three artists all share the breathtaking exhilaration of reshuet,
which is defined as joy in an ancient Egyptian language. It is with the
joy of creation that they approached their paintings, and though each
artist journeys to the point of creation differently, each of their art
works is born in joy.
The opening reception is Friday, February 6 from 6:00 to 8:00pm, and there is a "meet the artist" reception on Saturday, February 21 from 4:00 to 6:00pm. The closing reception is Friday, February 27 from 6:00-8:00pm. Visit www.foundrygallery.org or call 202.463.0203. |
