Since DCCA has no membership meetings between June 5th and
October, the Board is seeking four volunteers, one from roughly each quadrant of
our geographic area, to spearhead plans for a social event in the neighborhood
over the summer. Here’s a chance to use your creativity and plan a party that
will encourage DCCA neighbors to socialize – Street dance? Dog show? Backyard
barbecue? High tea? Outdoor movie? Collective yard sale? Alley cleanup?
Potluck(s)? Happy hour with business card exchange? Costume party?
Options are endless and times are flexible. Choose a date when you (and your friends) are available to carry out your plans. If you’ve got a great idea now, send it to our to our President or our Vice President (Rob Halligan: president@dupont-circle.com , or Carol N. Theodore: carolntheodore@earthlink.net). Or, send it whenever you do! Individuals selected can have expenses reimbursed (up to $200 per event). Naturally we expect any attendees who aren’t already DCCA members to join during the event. This is a great chance to strengthen our neighborhoods. |
