Filming "The District"

Q Streets between 20th and 21st

Constituents in West Dupont:

The DC Office of Film and Television notified me that filming for "The District" will happen on location in our neighborhood on Thursday, August 21, 2003. Parking for the film crews has been approved for the north side of Q Street, NW, between 20th-21st Street and the north side of R Street, NW, between Connecticut Ave. and 21st Street. Drop offs for the talent will be on 21st Street, NW, between Hillyer and Q Street.

This was all originally planned for 21st Street. I contacted the Office of Film and Television and the producer to notify them of my concerns due to the construction projects on 21st Street. I also spoke to the site producer. Both said that they would consider other options and would notify me. I was pleased to learn today that most of the impact from 21st Street has been moved.
